In gratitude: Mahira Khan pens emotional note after ‘Aik Hai Nigar’ win

2022 is the year for the Pakistani entertainment industry and international feats. The biopic honoring the life and works of Major General Nigar Johar, the first female officer to be promoted to the rank of lieutenant general, recently won big at Amsterdam! Aik Hai Nigar, a telefilm starring Mahira Khan in the lead, has won in the category of Best Asian Film and Best Actress at the prestigious Septimius Awards. Along with shedding light on Lt General Nigar’s professional achievements, Aik Hai Nigar also highlighted her personal life, a huge part of which is her husband, Johar Ali Khan, played by actor Bilal Ashraf. The film paved the way for more women to climb their way to leadership positions in the military and otherwise. While Mahira has been rather busy with the promotions of Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad, her upcoming film with Fahad Mustafa, she finally took the time out and penned a gratitude note for her fans, cast and crew of Aik Hai Nigar.  "This has been long overdue," Mahira, who played the titular character in the telefilm, shared on Instagram with a carousel of unseen pictures from the sets of Aik Hai Nigar. "There are so many people I need to thank and am grateful to, for this small labour of love we made – Aik Hai Nigar."         View this post on Instagram                       A post shared by Mahira Khan (@mahirahkhan) She went on to add, "Starting with my co-producer Nina.
