Army man shot dead in Anantnag

Anantnag, Apr 9:Unidentified gunmen Friday shot dead a territorial army soldier in Bijbehara area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.Police said a territorial army man who was on leave, was shot dead in broad daylight in Jablipora area of Anantnag.The injured TA soldier was immediately shifted to SDH Bijbehara in a critical condition where he was referred to GMC Anantnag for treatment.He, however, was declared brought dead at the GMC.The slain soldier has been identified as Mohammed Saleem Akhoon, son of Ghulam Hassan Akhoon of Jablipora BijbeharaFollowing his killing,  the area was cordoned off and a massive search operation was launched by security forces to nab the attackers.
