Surge in Covid-19 cases: DHSK cancels leaves of health care staff

Srinagar, April 05:The Directorate of Health Services Kashmir (DHSK) on Monday cancelled leaves of healthcare workers in view of a surge in Covid-19 cases.DHSK in an order asked the chief medical officers and medical superintendents to cancel the leaves of medical staff including doctors, nurses, paramedical staff and other officials in view of daily rise in coronavirus cases.”All leaves either sanctioned or under consideration at Directorate level or at respective offices of CMO’s and other DDO’s in respect of doctors, nurses, paramedical staff and other staff are hereby cancelled forthwith except maternity and extreme medical exigencies,” it said.The order directed all the Chief Medical Officers/Medical Superintendents to refrain from forwarding any kind of leave to the Directorate till further orders.
