Srinagar, Mar 05: The government Friday ordered the School Education Department to put in place random rapid COVID-19 test facilities in all districts for all teachers and students to prevent the spread of the virus.Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Pandurang K Pole directed the Deputy Commissioners of Kashmir division to put in place random rapid COVID-19 testing facilities in their respective districts for educational institutions so that the spread of Coronavirus is prevented.He said students of classes 9th to 12th are attending their schools as per the guidelines by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and the divisional administration.He said that as per the guidelines the students of class 5th to 8th are supposed to attend their classes from March-08.Earlier, in the past one week, at least 9 officials of GD Goenka were tested positive for COVID-19. Besides, GD Goenka principal of one of the government schools of Srinagar was also tested positive for COVID-19.
